documenting delight | autumn baby

I've made the time to get my photo-a-day project in order so I can update on Flair To Remember. I've been shooting away & popping images aside for organising, but haven't had a chance to get everything together. I wanted to remedy this today as I've got lots of sweet photos to share & I've got to catch us all up sooner or later! I was finding myself a little flustered trying to organise myself {it's a work day, whilst Leo is in daycare} & I thought I should slow down & do this post, because I really wanted to do it. And why not on this beautiful Autumn day, before Winter starts knocking on our door! I hope everyone is wonderful & making the most of the special little moments in day to day life. It really changes your outlook when you can stop, reflect & be grateful for the teeny tiny little things we may sometimes take for granted... I'm always reminding myself of this!

I can't seem to locate a shot for the 12th March, perhaps I've missed that day, there are so many albums on hand, I just love taking photographs, so this little project has been a challenge in trying to just get the one shot per day that captures something lovely. I found this photo of you, just sitting on a mini table & chairs before a little catch up with our local mum & bubs group. I keep thinking how quickly you're growing when you do simple things like sit on a normal chair, unassisted. Growing up before my very eyes. What an honour to watch & help nurture your growth & wonder of the world we are in...

Many nights you want to be cuddled to sleep in my arms. Sometimes it can be hard as you can't get quite comfortable, as you try & kick into a snuggly position as though you're already in your cot. But you still want mama there, so we work out a snuggly little spot so you can drift off & then I can pop you into bed, ready for a night of sweet dreams. I love that you love to cuddle. It's a special time I'm sure will be a distant memory one day. I soak it in.

This shot is in place of 14 March ~ I'm not sure I've taken a photo on this date. This is a regular view of mine when I'm in the kitchen preparing our meals or tidying or doing the dishes. My little helper, climbing into the pantry. I've made the bottom half of the pantry a little treasure chest for you to play with. We're both happy then & that's the aim of the game!

Sometimes you awake a few times in your cot before finally drifting off for a good sleep. I get you up & snuggle & then try gently putting you down when you've fallen asleep. Sometimes you wake right up, perhaps the motion of 'dropping' from my height, to the level of your mattress, I'm not sure. But sometimes we do our little dance a few times before you're peacefully off in the land of nod. I'm sure you'll have it down pat one day, but for now, it's nice to be able to help. Snuggles are the best.

So sweet & innocent my little fella. I love watching your big blue eyes as you use your senses to take in new surroundings. Full of wonder. I seem to be able to literally watch your mind tick over. I'm so thankful for this gift of being your mama & being able to see this beautiful world through your eyes.

Sometimes I get little shots of you that look like little paintings. How perfect tiny moments in time are. How wonderful we have these contraptions that can freeze these sights our eyes behold. I love this shot of you, naked {your favourite} & walking along the furniture, doing your own thing. Free, peaceful, completely innocent. How wonderful life is...

I'll catch up with more shots this week, I'm going to keep doing eight at a time {my lucky number} & we should be up to the present date soon. I see a lot of people are doing little projects this year, especially on Instagram ~ how wonderful it is to capture daily beauty. It really makes me happy! Enjoy your wonderful day ahead!
